DESCRIPTION:
Classically trained Mezzo-Soprano, Alyssa Lehman, has been described as having a vocal quality of unique beauty, color and timbre. Her training and experience on the opera and concert stage provided her with a varied repertoire for both secular and sacred events. An experienced wedding soloist for both civil and religious ceremonies of various denominations, Alyssa will assist you in selecting music for your special day, as well as recommend additional musicians, if requested. She will also work with your venue's music director to coordinate and discuss music choices. As a soloist and cantor at the Cathedral Basilica of S.S. Peter and Paul, Alyssa also has a full understanding of the Catholic liturgy, music acclamations and its sacred music requirements for the nuptial mass/ceremony. Alyssa trains with soprano, Evelyn Mandac and previously with coloratura soprano, Deborah Cook. Her studies also included training at the Mozarteum music conservatory in Salzburg, Austria and at the Spoleto Arts Symposium in Italy with Nico and Carol Castel and Enza Ferrari. Wedding rates start at $150. Discounts for weddings in January/February. Please feel free to request a demo cd if there is poor sound quality through the demos on-line. Ms. Lehman performed at our church on Saturday, January 27, 2007. It was an elegant celebration to be remembered by everyone in attendance.
