Jennifer Jane Ward

Jennifer has studied violin since the age of 5, practicing 4-6 hours a day between the ages of 8-16. She spent her early years as a competitive violinist. During this time, she won all significant state violin competitions (Utah), garnering much acclaim. She has performed with several orchestras and symphonies throughout Utah and the intermountain West, most notably as a soloist with the highly acclaimed Utah Symphony under the direction of Maestro Joseph Silverstein. She was chosen as one of five U.S. violinists to perform at the International Suzuki Conference in Matsumoto, Japan. She studied at the Tanglewood Summer Arts Program in Tanglewood, Massachusetts, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah. She has studied under highly prestigious teachers, including Hiroko Primrose, Andres Cardenes, and Leonard Braus. She was awarded the title of "Miss Utah" and competed at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she was sixth place in points, and talent winner. A seasoned performer, she has played for audiences of one to 8 million. In recent years she has enjoyed teaching her studio of thirty violin students, directing her church choir, and performing as a violin soloist in a wide variety of settings.
