Chas Evans is a top performing classical guitarist based in the Jackson, MS area. His educational background includes studies and masterclasses with some of the world's great players and teachers such as Centaur Recording artist Giovanni De Chiaro, Christopher Parkening, Pepe Romero and many others. A native of Meridian, MS he attended of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He now resides in Jackson where he has lived, performed and taught for ten years.

Chas performs extensively in Mississippi and the surrounding states in a wide variety of musical settings including weddings, receptions, clubs, restaurants, private events, regional arts festivals and more. BIO:

Mississippi native, Chas Evans holds Bachelor's and Master's of Music Degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he studied under Professor Giovanni De Chiaro. Chas has been the recipient of many awards, including first place at the 1999 Mississippi Music Teacher Association guitar competition and runner up in the 2000 Pine Belt Guitar Symposium. Chas has taught Music Theory and Performance classes at Mississippi College and Holmes Community College. As a member of the Mississippi Guitar Quartet, Chas released the album "Soundscapes" which is available now at The Mississippi Guitar Quartet was recently honored to perform selected works from their debut album at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Chas has participated as a guest judge in the Mississippi Music Teacher Association Guitar Competition and at the Pinebelt Guitar Symposium where he has given master classes for the competitors. Chas is currently a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and proudly served in Operation Noble Eagle in Washington, D.C. and Operation New Dawn in Baghdad, Iraq.
