As a radio personality for over twenty years, currently with classic rock station 99.9 The Hawk (WODE-FM) for ten years, a bonafide music lover and classic rock aficionado, there's only one band that I know of that can consistently deliver the goods and that band is The Lou Franco Project! LFP is as talented and diverse as cover bands come. They have the musical chops to switch from genre to genre effortlessly and back again. They are primarily a power trio but in actuality, there is so much more to this band than what appears on the surface. Between the three band members, there is over 100 years of combined musical experience. These guys are classically trained and it shows. Lou Franco is as good an electric guitarist as anyone on the national scene. It's true! He's been on the national scene as the lead guitarist for Pretty Poison and has a gold record ("Catch Me I'm Falling") to prove it. He has also won numerous accolades and awards from his fans and peers in the industry. He plays crisply and clearly, with a multitude of tones that come from his innate guitar-playing ability and his up to date knowledge of current technology, specifically, how to correctly utilize and optimize an electric guitar synthesizer. Indeed, this "power trio" can end up sounding like a four, five or even six piece band. I've seen people shake their heads in disbelief and ooh and aah as they witness a true master of his craft entertain audiences all over the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Lou can assault you with ripping guitar licks on classic rock favorites from the likes of Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC but he can also dazzle you with the intricate, sophisticated, complicated, jazzy stylings of Steely Dan and Jeff Beck. He can create an amazing atmospshere by playing progressive rock with unbelievable and uncanny similarity to the best in the genre like Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson, The Moody Blues and Rush. Then he can kick start the party with great dance rock by playing hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. He brings his own signature sound to these songs and crowds respond in earnest by begging for more. Lou Franco is a maestro of the electric guitar and all the myriad gadgets that he can tap into to create a plethora of musical sounds, textures and moods. It is a joy and pleasure to watch him perform which is why I always keep coming back for more.
