Sound of Faith is a family of friends with a strong bond of powerful music and powerful beliefs. First formed in 2003, Sound of Faith began as a house band for a contemporary worship service in Concord, NC but since then has evolved as the members discovered together that their hearts are most open as they share their message through powerful vocal harmonies, rock guitars and a tight rhythm section.
In 2009, Sound of Faith released their first full-length musical project, Rescue Me, which is available through numerous outlets including iTunes, Napster and CDBaby. It contains a spectrum of styles from heavy rock with soaring female vocals and harmonies to touching inspirational ballads. In late 2010, Sound of Faith began writing a lot of new material with the current lineup to be used in a future project projected for release in 2012.
When performing live, Sound of Faith pulls from that extensive repertoire of original songs from Rescue Me and the forthcoming project and also mixes in covers from female-fronted bands such as BarlowGirl, SuperChic(k), Fireflight and Flyleaf. Rather than heavily push their message or beliefs during their performance, they prefer to encourage listeners to get the message from the music. Their belief is that through the entertainment, the message will filter through to those who most need to hear it. Sound of Faith is a band of strong Christian believers, and as such, they do welcome and even encourage those who have questions about the song lyrics, their beliefs, or Christianity in general.
