Music sets the tone! Imagine classical music in the garden setting or church of your upcoming wedding, or in the background during the reception dinner, or maybe you prefer upbeat, popular tunes as your guests arrive for a reception or corporate party. Whatever the mood you desire, we can provide it with a string ensemble. We are professional musicians, trained in classical music, but comfortable with everything from Country & Western to Classic Rock, in the four states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Ensemble charges are determined by group size, length of event, and distance. We have the usual choices for weddings, but also have a variety of other music available for receptions or parties, including broadway, waltzes, polka, ragtime, and other pops. The group named Strings,Etc! has been performing together for 5 years, but our contractor and Principal, Deborah Stotelmyer, has been contracting for more than 25 years. We are or have been performers in The Maryland Symphony Orchestra, several having auditioned and won leadership positions, requiring higher skill and leadership, all of which we bring to YOUR event. We believe in providing the most beautiful, stress-free atmosphere for special occasions, from weddings to dinner parties to corporate events, and will even contact your vendor to check on our detailed needs so that you don't have to. We can also add trumpet, flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon, should you be interested. For the utmost in elegance, we can even provide a chamber orchestra, adding french horn and string bass and, if needed, more strings and a conductor.
