DESCRIPTION:
Rachel Avery has been playing harp since age 16. She studied with harpist Beatriz Martin-Ruiz and enjoys a variety of music. She performs on her 5-octave Dusty Strings celtic harp and she also has a double-strung Dusty Strings harp and a Sandpiper lap harp. Enjoy music from the celtic traditions or choose from more standard classical and religious repertoire. Special requests and pop songs are welcome too. The celtic harp is ideal for more intimate gatherings as well as larger events, and the music varies from the lively to the sublime. The harp with violin can also be easily arranged if desired. A free consult is available for interested parties prior to signing the contract, and there is no obligation with the consult.

Rachel provided the most beautiful harp & harp/violin duet music for our outdoor commitment ceremony. All the guests were commenting on how fantastic the selections were (and she was very accomodating to our requests). She was punctual and played until the last guest filtered into the reception hall. Very friendly and easy to work with; I would recommend Rachel to anyone looking for an amazing harp experience at your wedding or other event.

Rachel is an absolute professional and I would highly recommend her to anyone desiring a harpist for their wedding or event. From inception to completion she was more than accommodating and went above and beyond with even assisting me in finding a photographer three days before my wedding! Her skills as a harpist, in both song selection and ability, are second to none! My husband and I are incredibly grateful for the lovely ambiance that was created by her presence. She is a true talent and quite a gem. Our day would not have been complete without her. Thank you for everything Rachel!

Rachel played a Celtic harp for my wedding ceremony and for the cocktail hour of my wedding reception. She knew the music very well and recommended songs that fit the feeling of the day. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the music she played was. Rachel was on time for the event, did the research about how to set up in the church and was very easy to work with. She always returned my calls and even agreed to meet with my husband and I for a 9:00 pm meeting! That was above and beyond what other other vendors would have done and I would definitely recommend Rachel for other events. Thank you Rachel for helping us have the day we dreamed of!
