The harp is a beautiful instrument in both sound and appearance, and harpists can provide everything from lively Celtic tunes at an outdoor market to elegant classical music at a formal gathering.

Cora is a Celtic as well as pedal harpist from the Madison area who has studied for three years with Celtic lever harpist Rachel Avery and three years with classical pedal harpist Cheryl Saltzman. Cora is still in high school, but already she has a considerable amount of experience playing at both indoor and outdoor events including weddings, holiday parties, art shows, receptions, and many other venues. She has been managing her own events for six years, and began providing music for weddings four seasons ago. She has placed first in the District Solo and Ensemble competition, and then won a gold medal and the State Exemplary Soloist Award at the State Solo and Ensemble. This led to her 2011 nomination for the Madison Area Music Award.

Cora has a large and varied repertoire of classical, Celtic, folk, pop, romantic, and sacred harp music on the lever harp as well as the pedal harp and is always happy to take special requests. She usually performs on her Musicmakers Cherry Voyageur Harp, made in Stevens Point, WI, but is also available to play on her Venus Traditional pedal harp, made in Chicago, if the additional quote is requested. For larger events, amplification is also available, free of charge.
