Add something unique to your special event: Live harp music! The harp is a beautiful instrument in both sound and appearance, and it can be used to play everything from lively celtic tunes at an outdoor market to elegant classical music at a formal gathering.

Cora is a celtic harpist from the Madison area who has studied for three years with celtic harpist Rachel Avery and two years with classical harpist Cheryl Saltzman. Cora is still in high school, but already she has a considerable amount of experience playing at both indoor and outdoor events such as weddings, holiday parties, art shows, receptions, and many other venues. She has been managing her own events for five years, and began providing music for weddings two seasons ago. She has placed first in the district music competition, Solo and Ensemble, then won a gold medal and the State Exemplary Soloist Award at the State Solo and Ensemble, leading to a nomination at the Madison Area Music Awards. As experienced harpist Rachel Avery stated, "Cora has a maturity in her playing beyond her years, an impressive sense of musicality, and a lovely sound. I would recommend her in a heartbeat."

Cora has a large and varied repertoire of classical, celtic, folk, romantic, and sacred harp music on the lever harp and is always happy to take special requests. She performs on her Musicmakers Cherry Voyageur Harp, made in Stevens Point, WI. For larger events, amplification is also available, free of charge.

If desired, Cora can schedule a free consult so that you have a chance to hear her play. This will give you an opportunity to select music genres you would like for background music or choose specific selections for your wedding or other special event.
