The AMERICAN DIDDLEY-IDOLS are a New York City based Irish American party band - playing a high energy mix of traditional Irish songs and tunes and all the party rock you love to sing along to after a few drinks. Our mix of rock versions of Irish standards as well as "Irished up" rock, pop and country will keep you well entertained all night long. We have a blast when we play and so will you and your guests or customers. I also do solo gigs or a two piece cocktail hour, ceremony or after party. The American Diddley-Idols are made up of Woodside, Queens native Dave Barckow on guitar, vocals, and a foot-operated drum kit. Dave has played over 300 performances per year for the past 15 years at many famous tourist locales such as Las Vegas, Disney World, and his home base in Times Square, NYC, always getting a room full of folks that were strangers at the beginning of the evening singing and dancing along together.
Siobhan Smith, having recently returned to her native New York after 8 years based in Dublin, has performed all over Ireland and mainland Europe, as well as Asia and Australia. She will amaze you with her authentic Traditional Irish fiddle style along with her multi-style sensibilities as a soloist, sultry voice and infectious smile and charm. She's a true triple threat.
The band also features Dublin native Louise Barry on vocals and percussion as well as dancing. Louise has been in the entertainment business her entire life and it would take far too long to describe her accomplishments as a singer, dancer, choreographer and actress. All eyes are on Louise the second she opens her mouth, as jaws drop constantly and quickly when you hear such a huge voice coming out of het has to be seen to be believed. Aside from her talent, her overwhelmingly warm stage presence and good natured banter with the audience will keep you smiling from ear to ear. All in all it's a guaranteed good time and a great night out.
If you'd like a larger band for your event we often play with many traditional Irish instrumentalists, singers, and dancers, as well as good old fashioned rock and roll rhythm sections. We also offer DJ services. Anything you need we can provide!
