Anne Suda performs all over the US and abroad! From theaters to art galleries to weddings to classrooms, Anne is passionate about bringing the inspirational sound of the cello to audiences everywhere. Let the art of the cello inspire and transport the atmosphere of your event!
Anne has appeared as soloist with several symphony orchestras including the American Philharmonic, the Knox-Galesburg Symphony, the Southeast Iowa Symphony and the Quincy Symphony, performing works including the Dvorák Concerto, Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations and the Brahms Double Concerto. Her performances have brought her to many prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and the American Cathedral in Paris. Classical Sonoma wrote of her performance of Rococo Variations, "The delightful top-to-bottom slides on the fingerboard were impeccable, and in the cadenza Ms. Suda never hurried, letting the long pauses add suspense to the music. She clearly identified with the subtle and non-heroic interplay of cello and orchestra." Anne has also been praised for bringing a fresh and contemporary sound to her repertoire, with the Northwest Reverb writing of her interpretation of the Debussy Cello Sonata, "Cellist Anne Suda read so much contrast into the score, intermittently I felt I wasn't hearing Debussy at all, but discovering his lost contemporary genius…it was the freshest I've heard."
Passionate about chamber music, Anne is a founding member of two award-winning ensembles based in the San Francisco Bay Area. With her ensemble Aleron Trio, Anne recently won the 2014 Berkeley Piano Club Emerging Artist Award. Anne's trio will serve as Ensemble-in-Residence for the Old First Concert Series in San Francisco next season, and the San Francisco has written of the ensemble's performances, "They focused in on every detail, never missing out on any tricks; and, by dutifully respecting [the composer's] every demand, they allowed the rest of us to sit back and enjoy every bit of the fun."
Anne has performed on three critically acclaimed tours of France with her trio and recently completed a residency with the Southeast Iowa Symphony performing Beethoven's Triple Concerto and giving 17 school and community outreach presentations. Anne will perform the Triple Concerto next season with One Found Sound chamber orchestra in San Francisco and with the Venice Symphony Orchestra in Florida. Aleron Trio has been mentored by members of the Alexander and St. Lawrence String Quartets and has performed for renowned ensembles including the Juilliard Quartet and Calyx Trio.
