DESCRIPTION:
A free spirit with a dedicated passion, I am a CELLIST ready to cater to any musical affair! I am a recently graduated Furman University Alum with a double major in Music and Communication Studies, available for gigs solo gigs or for larger ensemble gigs. I perform for a range of events including concerts, festivals, weddings, parties, religious or holiday events, as a solo artist or as a part of small ensembles, folk/rock bands or orchestra.
My extensive classical performance history is based on my experiences throughout Denver, Atlanta, Florida, Nashville, a tour of Austria and Germany, and in Greenville, South Carolina at Furman University making me a capable, reliable and talented musician.
The past two years I have most frequently played with my band mate Darby Wilcox-Tollison as O Mellow Cellotree, or just Darby & Sarah, downtown Greenville and all around the Upstate of South Carolina. Our acoustic sound is melodic and originally captivating as Darby's acoustic guitar and my cello accompany her soulful tales of the heart. Beyond our countless originals, we cover bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elliot Smith, Damien Rice, and Coldplay.
I also session cello and supporting/lead vocals for various bands around Greenville. I have also spent time sessioning for jingle production company Hummingbird Productions, out of Nashville Tennessee, demoing soundtracks for various companies like CitiBank and Jersey Mikes.
I currently teach and play cello for hire as well as plan events such as Music in the Woods, powered by the sun, at Paris Mountain State Park (Spring/Summer 2008) under Cellotree Arts, a production company based on instruction and collaboration.
