BASICS: In black and white, it takes just 3-4 minutes per person; in full color, about 6 minutes.
In full color Katherine draws 10 people an hour; in black and white, about 15/hour. It's fun and affordable, $130/hour. For example, for a party with 15 kids, Katherine will draw everybody in 2 hours and in full color. That's a wonderful party favor for about $8. So cool! The parents will frame the picture at home and will thank you.
ARTIST: Katherine Hilden studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also has a degree in math, is a former docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation, and currently teaches painting and drawing at the Evanston Art Center. She relates to people while she draws and reflects the ambiance of the party in her work. (She's been signed up with GigMasters since April 2011.)

• Katherine was a total joy with whom to have worked. I originally had some doubts about how appropriate hiring a caricaturist for my company's annual party would be. I was completely satisfied. I cannot know if all artists work this well with their subjects, but if they don't, they should watch Katherine to see how it SHOULD be done. Each of the 18 people who were drawn had great things to say about her. Interestingly, each had different observations.
