DESCRIPTION:
Dan Springer received his formal art training at the
Rhode Island School of Design, where he received his
BFA in Illustration in 1991. Since then, he has done
freelance illustration for various publications, including
"The New York Times", "The Village Voice", and "Avenue"
magazine.
He also showed at numerous galleries and clubs,
including "Faces and Names", (159 W. 54th St.), and
"Rumours" (8th Ave. & 55th St.) where he has permanent
exhibitions. He has also done live caricatures at "Faces
and Names" since they opened; about 10 years ago.
He has worked as a live caricature artist for the past 17
years, including work at Six Flags-Great Adventure and has
done caricatures in Central Park, NYC for the past 12 years.
Dan is a recognized professional and member of the
National Caricaturist Network.
