Brian Vasilik - Caricaturist and Illustrator

With 16 years of caricature drawing experience Brian Vasilik has performed at hundreds of events surrounding Western North Carolina. Brian draws 200+ days out of the year and is the areas only full time caricature artist. Past clients include Reebok, The Grove Park Inn & Spa, the Biltmore Estate & Winery, the City of Asheville and the Biltmore Forest Country Club.

Brian's goal as a caricature artist is to ENTERTAIN. He takes pride in drawing fun and quick caricatures that your guests will take home and frame. Brian likes to talk to the person he is drawing to capture their personality. He draws in a exaggerated style that captures the person's likeness.

Brian attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia graduating in 1989 with a degree in Industrial Design. Currently Brian is a self employed artist specializing in caricatures, illustration, architectural rendering, graphic design and pet portraits. He also performs as Pickles the Clown and also makes appearances as Santa during the holidays.

Art runs in the blood in the Vasilik family. Brian's mother Ann is Asheville's most accomplished and well known watercolor artist. Brian and Ann are both alumni to UArts!

Brian is a member of the International Society of Caricature Artists. He has grown as an artist by attending caricature conventions in Orlando, Reno, Raleigh, Saint Louis, Sandusky and Bowling Green, Ohio.

• Brian greeted the numerous guests as they arrived to attend our Christmas party. Even though I did not personally observe him "in action" a number of attendees gave him a very positive evaluation. We was very accomodating as well as he "stayed in touch" with me prior to the event to make sure I knew he was still planning to attend (which I greatly appreciated).
