DESCRIPTION:
I am considered a "jazz cabaret singer". I perform a 45 minute to one hour "specialty" show. My current show is called "A Tisket, A Tasket", A Tribute to Ella. I'll talk and sing about the life, loves and music of Ella Fitzgerald. During this show, with the magic of technology, I'll be singing a duet with Ella and one with Louis Armstrong.My band, for this show, consist of piano, keyboard, bass and drums.
I can also increase the size of the band to a 16 piece big band. Or scale it down to a duo. I have created and performed several other shows: "I'll have Another Cole Porter". "A Tribute to Jerome Kern, Gershwin, Hammerstein". "The Songs from Broadway, that were not Hits!" "The Great African-American Ladies of Song" - "A Tribute to Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Aretha Franklin." (In this show, I dress, talk and try to act like these incredible ladies...and I even play the piano during the Nina Simone portion of the show!)
