They call me the "Jack of All Trainings" because having facilitated over 4,000 events, I have mastered the art of creating and delivering customized training seminars on over 170 business topics. STOP! You may be thinking, "I need someone who specializes in the topic." Why not someone who specializes in . . . training?
Subject-matter experts make great mentors and consultants, but can they train? I am grateful to have a gift in the area of human potential, behavior change, and organizational development. You tell me what the issues are you need to address, then tell me about the audience and organization or industry. I create the precise training that meets the need - not a whole program on one "canned" topic that gets re-purposed and re-delivered.
The training is action-packed, engaging, fun, thought-provoking, and rooted in principles of human learning and behavior change.
I can do any length program from one hour to several days. You also have the option of bringing me in for a shadowing/consulting/mentoring day before the training to enhance the customization of the program and ensure that it achieves the desired result. Follow-up coaching to make the training stick is another popular enhancement.
To help you imagine the benefit of this ability, let me give you an example. Let's say you are looking to increase productivity by increasing the focus, engagement, and organizational skills of your employees (or promising productivity increases to attendees from various organizations/industries). Most trainers would deliver either a time management program or a motivational keynote. The fact is that productivity would better be enhanced by a combination program. What I would do is open up with a motivational keynote that leads into some nuts-and-bolts time management training and group facilitation that links the tips and techniques to specific action steps attendees plan. We add in a component of Microsoft Excel, Word, or Outlook skills and some speed reading, memory, and focus techniques. A segment on communication and dealing with confrontations is essential to complement this technical training, and the end is another workshop-style piece and a final motivational segment.
How many trainers do you know who present both soft skills and technical skills? Who does both keynotes and training? Where do you get training, facilitation, consulting, coaching, and custom development? Most of the speakers on this site will SAY they do all these things, but ask them how much experience they have in teaching each topic and operating in each modality.
