Description

Bil Lepp, five time champion of the West Virginia Liars' Contest, has been described as "Side-Splittingly Funny" by no less than the Smithsonian Center for Folklife. Bil has performed and prepared hilarious, custom programs for, among others, the Nature Conservancy, Red Tettemer Ad Agency, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Colonial Williamsburg, and West Virginia University. Bil is a nationally known humorist who performs over 200 clean, family friendly presentations a year. Though he got his start by winning the West Virginia Liars' Contest, Bil has gone on to create stories, keynotes, workshops, and presentations that are insightful and motivate others to learn from their mistakes, and turn bad ideas into opportunities.

Bil has been enthralling audiences for over twenty years, and has been a main-stay at major festivals and events all around the country. Through his award winning books and recordings, as well as his live shows, and appearances on "Michael Feldman's Whad'ya Know," "All Things Considered," "Inside Appalachia," and Sirius radio, Bil has proved he is versatile, and respected as a speaker. Magazines as far and wide as Guns & Gardens, The Christian Century, and Cooking With Paula Dean have seen fit to mention Bil Lepp's work in some form or fashion.

Whether you hire Bil to provide the keynote address at your next function, present a workshop on thinking creatively, or to be the evening's entertainment, you will not be disappointed. Here's what others, from National Geographic to US News, have had to say about Bil's work:

"He won the [WV Liars'] contest and has been honing his lying skills ever since." -John Roach- National Geographic News

"Lepp's [stories] make you laugh" -Jill Jordan Sieder- U.S. News

"Listeners are howling with the hilarity, tears of laughter streaking faces split with wide-mouth grins. When [Bil Lepp] wraps up his story in one more burst of implausibility, the audience leaps to its feet, cheering. All hail the king!" -Mary Ellen Botter- The Dallas Morning News

"Bil Lepp- think Jeff Foxworthy with the comedic patience of Bill Cosby…and Woody Allen's classic "I shot a moose once" tale." -Lou Harry- Indianapolis Business Journal

"The audience could barely stop laughing long enough to catch the next twist in the tale…" -Andrew Milman- Journal Sentinel, WI
