Magic Mama Band Blues Band from Gallipolis, OH

The natural result of a band comprised of a sundry of musicians from vastly different backgrounds, styles, and experiences, is a highly unique concoction of blues, soul, roots, jazz and funk music; plus a dynamically powerful stage performance. The band has a knack for "feeling" the needs and energy of the crowd, and naturally, if not subconsciously adjusting on the fly. But the evocative, throw-down vocals; virtuosic guitar and sax solos; stone-solid rhythm; and overall soulfully, eruptive dynamics remain a constant. MMB is a vigorously busy band; always working toward new ventures. From consistent top finishes in Ohio's largest and oldest blues competition (River City Blues Competition), as well as RUNNER's UP in the Big Bend Blues Competition, to the recent release of their album "Bad Girl", and still maintaining a tightly-booked gig schedule (chock full of festivals, wineries and hosting open jams), this band constantly strives for and achieves their goals of creating great original music and delivering an unforgettable show.
