DESCRIPTION:
You've come to the right place for your entertainment! RuffWater Band is Gigmaster's #1 rated band within 100 Miles of the Mobile area and is rated in the top 25 in the southeast! RuffWater is a classic rock and blues band whose music is best described as "rock with a heavy dose of delta swamp". Since forming in the sweltering summer of 1998, RuffWater has been blowing with hurricane force winds that have taken the Gulf coast by storm. The band has played hundreds of club dates, private parties, festivals, weddings, and corporate events all along the coast from its home base near Mobile, (AL) as far as Jacksonville (FL), Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Houston and New Orleans. In 2006, RuffWater placed second in a competition of over 60 bands nationwide at the Hog Wild Bar-B-Q and Blues Festival in Alabama. In 2007 the band was chosen as the headline musical act for the 30th Annual Azalea Trail Run Festival in Mobile where they performed in front of an audience of over 4,000 people. In addition to its high-energy show, RuffWater is known for the ability to play a variety of musical styles from 1960's rock, soul, blues and R&B all the way to the sounds of today's most popular pop, rock, and alternative bands. RuffWater Band's debut CD, CATEGORY FIVE, has been well received in the Gulf coast area and is a popular sales item at all RuffWater shows and through the band's website. We were very pleased with The Ruffwater Band, both personally and musically. A great time was had by all. They played all of our requests and several great original tunes.
