Fandango is a traditional 3 piece trio that brings that Texas boogie sound to the stage! If the crowd wants to watch, listen or dance to the hot slide & nasty guitar licks and vocals from guitarist/vocalist Billy Hanna... the gruff bluesy vocals from bass guitarist/vocalist Barry Quinn and the drivin' drums of Russell Sharp, that's what our show is all about. We all have performed in venue's across the country over the years. Fandango has been together since 2005, covering tunes by many blues artists including: BB King, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, JJ Gray & Mofro, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani, Allman brothers and a whole lot of ZZ Top! Billy has played R&B, funk, rock and blues . . with powerful vocals and guitar dripping with tone, (its all in the hands) he is a pleasure to listen too. When asked about his "style" . . he says "the most difficult thing for a musician to do is work toward being a stylist, playing melodic is very hard, it's a life long endeavor." Bass Guitarist / Lead Vocals & Harmony : Barry Quinn Bio: Forming "Fandango" in 2005, was a dream for many years . . with four & five piece bands in years past, performing at local clubs in the Gastonia, N.C. area and playing with some great musicians over the years country & rock music were always popular. But playing bass in a three piece band was a challenge that finally became a reality. A power trio playin' that "Texas Boogie" always feels right. layin' down a solid bass line, finding the perfect groove with the drummer, while the guitar player "bends them strings" oh yeah! "Showtime and the bands smokin'... thats what its all about!" Drums / Lead Vocals & Harmony : Russell Sharp Bio: Originally from Connecticutt, he has paid many dues playing music across the country from California and Arizonia and the East Coast, from Connecticutt, New York, Virginia, Florida and North Carolina. Having more than 35 years of playing experience, he is able to become one with the music and create an original rhythmic sound and groove for each song. The use of sutble dynamic's and a "free feel" , are key to his drumming style.
