“Emy and the Epix” is a Swing Blues, Rockabilly with a touch of Jazz band fronted by the sensational singer, Emy B. (Finalist at the legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo) They play the music of artists like Ruth Brown, Wanda Jackson, LaVern Baker, Etta James and Janis Martin just to name a few. There might even be an Elvis tune in there. When the time is right, the band lowers the temperature with cool jazz à la Peggy Lee or Billie Holiday before going back to rocking the house. Emy’s powerful, passionate singing and the Epix’s tight, high-energy playing, makes for an incredibly exciting evening of music.
