Mighty Mississippi is an acoustic Blues trio, paying tribute to the music once played on the porches and in the juke joints of the American South in the 1930's, '40s and '50s. In addition, Mighty Mississippi's repertoire follows the musical migration northward during that era, and includes acoustic versions of electric Blues that evolved in the nightclubs and bars of Memphis and Chicago in the 1950's and 1960's. Contemporary material and original compositions, rockabilly and swing, are all part of Mighty Mississippi's repository of acoustic music drawing its inspiration from the Blues.

Since 2007, Mighty Mississippi has been delivering gutsy acoustic Blues with heartfelt lyrics to appreciative audiences. The band has played some of the best live music venues in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Biscuits & Blues, JJ's Blues, and the Plough & Stars; as well as fairs and festivals, restaurants, clubs, wineries, pubs and wine bars, private parties and corporate events.
