Alan Tompkins Bluegrass Band from Dallas, TX

Alan Tompkins is a Dallas-based bluegrass banjo player, upright bass player, singer, founder of the non-profit Bluegrass Heritage Foundation, and host of the Bluegrass Heritage Radio Show on KHYI-FM 95.3. A native of the farming and coal mining country of Kentucky, Alan grew up steeped in the sounds of classic country, Southern gospel, and bluegrass music. He released his first album, No Part of Nothin', featuring a combination of players with dozens of IBMA and GRAMMY award wins and nominations among them, in 2012. Alan has an extensive network of contacts among acoustic musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond, and can provide a bluegrass band or ensemble to fit almost any need and budget. He can provide anything from an instrumental duo or trio perfect for live background music at corporate, civic, or church functions to a full band with multiple vocalists for shows, weddings, and other events.
