Description

One of New England's premier Bluegrass bands, Southern Rail is in great demand for private and public concerts as well as corporate events. Their shows are lively, funny and engaging, and appeal to audiences of all ages. Instrumentation includes guitar, banjo, mandolin, and acoustic bass. Southern Rail's performances are polished, upbeat, and energetic with strong trio and quartet harmonies as well as sparkling instrumental work. The group is equally at home in settings requiring traditional bluegrass as well as those calling for a more contemporary sound.

Southern Rail tours nationwide and their performances have run the gamut from Performing Arts Series to Conventions to Bluegrass, Folk and Cajun Festivals, to Fairs, Libraries, School Programs, Educational TV, Coffeehouses and Taverns. Southern Rail also performs regularly for Private and Corporate Functions, Dances, Weddings, Anniversary and Birthday Parties, as well as Church Services. The group's versatility and broad repertoire enable them to handle a variety of events, all with a engaging professionalism.

The group carries a full sound system, engineer, and stage lights.
