About
Bull Run Grass, so named because it is based in the shadow of historic Bull Run Mountain, performs a wide variety of bluegrass in classic style. The band has four members who play banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass fiddle. "We often add in a fiddle to spice things up". Their music includes traditional, gospel and contemporary bluegrass with a healthy dose of humor thrown in at concerts for good measure. For weddings, festivals, fundraisers and various other events public or private you will enjoy a relaxing and entertaining time with Bull Run Grass.

"Bull Run Grass was Fantastic!! We can't say enough about them. They were completely accommodating learning a song as well as creating a Bluegrass wedding march for our wedding ceremony. There set list for both the ceremony and the cocktail hour was just perfect! All of our guest just raved about them. And best of all they were pleasant to work with, they were on time and communicated with us often. We would recommend them to anyone looking for some great bluegrass tunes! "

"Smokey Winstead & Bull Run Grass are a fine band and a fine bunch of guys. They are very personable and professional. Their traditional and gospel bluegrass was very popular with the crowd, and Smokey's jokes and stories really warmed the crowd up and had us laughing. I would be very comfortable in recommending them for any size crowd and I plan to hire them again for future events. I would travel to see them play again. They are worth considering for your event!
