For the past 50 years, the legendary Teddy Lee Orchestra has performed more than 5000 engagements, entertaining tens of thousands. The 13 piece orchestra provides the best Big Band entertainment and dance music available anywhere; performing at a wide variety of venues including all of Chicago's major ballrooms, weddings, national Big Band weekends and major charity and corporate events. The band has also appeared at Navy Pier, Grant Park Summer Dance and Taste of Chicago. In the great tradition of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Guy Lombardo, Wayne King and Benny Goodman the band provides listening and dancing enjoyment through its inimitable style and vast library of custom arrangements: classic tunes, waltzes, Latin styles, society numbers, jazz and dixieland. Hit tunes of the Big Band era, show tunes and popular pieces from the great American song writers are all a part of the Teddy Lee tradition. Great vocalists including Chicago sensation Peter Oprisko, round out the orchestra's performances to present a total big band experience. Additionally, a jazz trio and combo add another entire dimension to the band. The trio and combo are available for separate booking in smaller venues.
