Stage Door Canteen is the ONLY dance band in Southeastern NE that is fueled by horns in the authentic tradition of the Big Band sound! We have a history of 2 decades of local, regional and international gigs. With a complete repertoire for every generation, every family and every occasion Stage Door Canteen brings high style, elegance and unbridled energy to events all over the Northeast...and beyond!
The band swings the classic hits of the Big Band era but also gets the dance floor grooving with Motown, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire and much more!
Stage Door Canteen plays at clubs and fine hotels throughout Southeastern Ma and Cape Cod however the band has been 1st choice for weddings and private functions! We provide for all your musical needs from wedding ceremony music with a brass quartet to a bagpiper that will pipe the bridal party in or out. Stage Door will start your reception with soft jazz played by our trio followed by a quartet or quintet playing jazz standards as backround music for dinner. The full band will have your guests dancing to the swinging sounds of the Big Bands and grooving to classic rock, funk and soul hits.
We help plan your reception or function to meet your needs and budget. The band can be as formal or informal as you like from tuxes to 40's attire or even Hawaian shirts!
