Description
Formed by bandleader-trombonist Frank Pedulla, the Music Staff Swing Orchestra specializes in the danceable style of the 1930's and 40's Big Band Era. The Music Staff recreates the sound of yesteryear performing the great musical hits of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Woody Herman and Artie Shaw, etc. Mr. Pedulla, a Juilliard alumnus who has performed with Dave and Chris Brubeck; and the Duke Ellington Orchestra, is featured on Tommy Dorsey favorites, such as "Marie." The typical Music Staff Swing Orchestras' orchestration is comprised of 5 reed instruments, 7 brass (trumpets and trombones), a 3 or 4 piece rhythm section, and male/female vocalists. With a library of more than three hundred original arrangements, we additionally honor most guest and audience requests.
