The Grand River Big Band (GRBB) is a 17 piece jazz dance band. GRBB was organized by the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band in 1991 after purchasing the well known "Ray Gill Orchestra" Book. The GRBB has provided playing opportunities for many area musicians since it's inception.
The band features saxaphones,trombones,trumpets,piano,guitar,bass,drums and vocalist. The band has a large repertoire of big band literature. GRBB is a favorite with dancers playing tunes ideally suited for foxtrot, rhumba,cha cha,swing,bolero,waltz,mambo and hustle.
The group has preformed at many venues since 1991; fund raising events, corporate/private parties, wedding receptions, birthday parties, community events & celebrations throughout the midwest. The music selection is versatile and can compliment the event/party that you may be planning.
