Samarra

Samarra will bring you the exotic and beautiful visions of the Middle East with her elegant and dramatic Oriental performances. She has been performing in the Boston area for almost ten years, and designs her own unique and stunning professional-quality costumes. Samarra uses traditional and non-traditional props, such as cane, finger cymbals, veil, sword, Wings of Isis, Egyptian cape, fans and the shamadan, to add a theatrical flair to her performances. She also studies jazz, ballet and Persian dance, and has performed with such diverse groups as Middle Eastern folk dance troupe, Mirza Dance Ensemble; circus group, Emperor Norton's Stationery Marching Band; and the rock band, Axemunkee.
