Samira Belly Dancer

Samira has over ten years of dance training and experience. Her primary training has been a blend of Egyptian, Turkish and Arabic cabaret styles, but she also loves fusion-style dancing, bringing in elements of flamenco, tango, can-can, fan dancing, Bollywood and much more! She can and has danced to anything from traditional and modern Middle Eastern music, to sets from 1980's pop music, show tunes, 1940's swing, Elvis hits and even an all Celtic set for St. Patrick's Day! Samira embraces variety and tries to be as versatile a performer as possible by continuously learning new elements to bring to her dance. She is a true entertainer at heart and that very much shines through in her performances. She delights her audiences with the level of emotion and personality that she brings to the dance. Samira also does snake dancing, and has a 6' boa constrictor, "Cuddles," with whom she loves to dance. Samira enjoys dancing with props as well, such as candles, swords, canes, fans, feather boas, parasols, or just about anything else she can incorporate into her performance. Samira is also an instructor available for group or private lessons or workshops.

• Samira was fabulous. She turned an ordinary bridal shower into something very special.
