Laila Aziz offers a passionate performance with charm and mystique, taking her audience on an enchanting magic carpet ride. Not only are her performances interactive and entertaining, but Laila possesses the true essence of this art form, making her a Chicago favorite.

Laila has danced for Bono's (of U2) birthday and performs yearly at Chicago's Taste of Greece on Halsted Street, Long Grove Greek Festival, and Greek Days in New Buffalo, MI. She is in continual demand for top corporate and cultural events, including the Chicago Green Tie Ball, Lincoln Park Zoo Ball, Chicago Rehab Institute Galas, and numerous corporate events, parties and weddings at the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry, The Hotel Intercontinental, Chicago Park District, Chicago Pulic LIbrary Summer Reading Program Kickoff (Folkloric Egyptian presentation), Chicago World Music Festival, Arabian Fest in Milwaukee, as well as numerous weddings and celebrations, including Purim festivities, grand openings, corporate events, cultural events, zaffas, festivals, birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, etc.

Laila's percussionist background makes the rhythm of her finger cymbals mesmerizing, while her passion for the music never fails to entertain young and old alike. Show props include wings, veil, finger cymbals, cane, and of course, fabulous costumes!

Laila performs solo or with her BellyDancers Chicago, a loose collaboration of Chicago's top belly dancers. Laila also works with many of Chicago's top musicians, and can coordinate live music with her performances. So whether you are looking for one belly dancer or 10, Laila can provide you the best entertainment for your event! Laila is also available for bachelorette and ladies-only parties where she will give a mini-performance and then teach a private lesson full of helpful pointers to take away from the party.

Laila's repertoire includes the popular Egyptian cabaret (Modern Egyptian bellydance), Saiidi cane dance, Saudi Gulf style, zaffa (wedding march), Greek bellydancing, Turkish Oryantal (modern Turkish belly dance), ciftetelli, karsilama, Balkan fusion, Romany (Gypsy Rom), Cocek, as well as Persian clasical and Bandhari. Laila's newest project is BollyDance Chicago, providing a fusion of belly dance and Bollywood for Indian-themed events. Indian performances have included solo, 4, 6, and 7 dancers for birthday parties and weddings.
