Ashley Rhianne is an award-winning Oriental dance artist based in Vancouver Canada drawing on over 15 years of experience as a professional dancer and instructor. She is a highly sought-after performer, known for her expressive and personable performances, elegance, and natural joie de vivre. She was drawn to this dance form first because of the music and then because of the powerful femininity, grace and strength of Oriental dance. It is her true love and the main driving force in her life! Ashley Rhianne firmly believes that dance is a constant evolution and requires a lifelong commitment to learning. Ashley Rhianne has performed in Canada, the USA, Trinidad, Egypt, Ukraine, Ecuador, Brasil, Vietnam, and in the UK. Ashley Rhianne has long held residency in most of the Greek, Arabic, Persian and Mediterranean restaurants and venues in Vancouver, BC since 2001. Ashley Rhianne has also performed in many festivals, multicultural events, theatres and on television. Ashley Rhianne performed with live musicians while living in London, UK at many Arabic and North African restaurants and venues. In 2004, Ashley Rhianne and Yasmina (Vancouver, BC) were featured headliners in the "Young Stars: Sunidhi Chauhan and KK" Bollywood concert in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad with Universal Concerts. Ashley Rhianne has performed live with award winning Arabic composer and electric oud player Jef Stott, and with world music DJs and composers Cheb I Sabah and DrumSpyder. Ashley Rhianne has also performed personally for celebrities such as Bif Naked, Calvin Ayre of BoDog, Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal. Ashley Rhianne currently holds 2nd place in the Randa Kamel Crown Competition in Dallas (2014), Fourth Place in the Randa Kamel Crown Competition in Cairo Egypt (2016) and Third Place in the NYCairo Queen Competition (2016 & 2017). Ashley Rhianne has also worked in 5 star hotels, Nile Cruise boats and other venues in Cairo, Egypt. Ashley offers professional, tasteful, engaging and artistic services to any event or venue. Ashley Rhianne's usual performances includes veil, finger cymbals, sword and other props such as wings, cane, candles, shamadan and fan veils. She has also trained in Middle Eastern Folkloric styles.
