Alicia

Alicia is an award winning, popular and well respected belly dancer in the Boston area. For your special occasion Alicia will arrive in traditional belly dance costume, equipped with music, to perform a set that may include zills (finger cymbals), veil, cane, fanveils, floorwork, drum solo, and even happy birthday. If it is a surprise we will make sure to keep it a surprise and we can coordinate specific details. Alicia is beautiful dancer with a happy sprit and is appropriate for almost any occasion, ranging from family parties to upscale galas. Alicia has performed at the Seaport Hotel, MIT, Restaurant Openings, backyard graduation events, bachelorette parties (which may include belly dance group lesson) and more. ABOUT ALICIA

Belly Dance Performer Alicia has been learning and performing belly dance for 7 years. Alicia performs regularly at nightclubs/restaurants, private and special events throughout New England.

Alicia won first place in the 2008 Peoples Choice Belly Dance Awards for Best New Performer, Best Zills, best comedy, and personality. She won runner up in the Promising Beginner Category at the Boston Belly Dance Competition in 2005. Alicia's eclectic, unique and energetic style and apparent love for the dance is a joy to watch and makes people of all ages feel alive.

She performs Arabic, Turkish, American Cabaret, and modern shows and uses props ranging from veil, zills, cane, sword, fans, fanveils, wings of isis, candles. Alicia has been a member of many of Sabrina's troupes and shows including the Odalisque Troupe (troupe winner 2008 Peoples Choice Awards), and has been a member of Johara's Snakedance Theater Productions 2006 and 2007 and the Jewel of the Valley shows in 2002 and 2003.
