SrQ is a championship Barbershop quartet, singing the barbershop style. This genre combines 4 male voices, with no instrumental accompaniment, singing goose-bump inducing chords that are heard nowhere else. A true American invention, barbershop music has endured since the late 19th century. Popular barbershop songs include those from the turn of the century up to the current time.

SrQ won the Illinois District Senior Quartet competition in 2010, and went on to compete in the Internationals in Las Vegas in early 2011. In the summer of 2012 they also won the "Florissant's Got Talent" competition.
