7th Dimension Quartet Barbershop Quartet from Raleigh, NC

7th Dimension is an a cappella quartet based in Fuquay-Varina, NC. We formed in April 2019, drawn together by a shared love for harmony and fellowship. Our repertoire draws from what we call “The Great American Songbook” – movie themes, pop, love songs, spirituals, patriotic, jazz, folk, gospel, country, anthems, glee club, rock-and-roll, hymns, and most anything else that makes the 21st century American vocal music scene what it is. We would love to entertain at your next function or event! • Carol Stephenson – Soprano by day, barbershop tenor by night! Carol is the Director of Traditional Music at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church and the Director of Raleigh’s Oak City Sound, an a cappella Chorus. Raised in a musical family, she has been singing all of her life. Carol earned her Master’s Degree in Music from University of Southern California. Carol was introduced to barbershop singing in 2005 and has, in turn, introduced many young people to join in the joy of 4-part a cappella harmony. • Gary Thorn – Baritone - Gary fell in love with 4-part a cappella music in high school and he, with Carol Stephenson, was part of the 2017 Carolina's district Mixed Quartet Champions: Mélange. Gary works as an IT Professional in his spare time. • Fitz Lee - Bass - Fitz has been a member of various singing groups since high school. Retirement from the Army allowed him to focus more on music and singing, as he is now a member of an a cappella chorus and a classical ensemble in Fayetteville NC. He has been singing barbershop music since 2013. • Nic Cols – Lead – Nic has performed in musicals and glee clubs since high school. He started singing barbershop harmony in 1974, and has been a member of several classical and barbershop quartets and choruses in Baltimore MD, Raleigh, Columbus GA, Phoenix AZ, and Atlanta GA.
