Professional 5-string banjo player that plays a very, VERY diverse cross-section of musical genres: from hard-driving bluegrass tunes, like Foggy Mountain Breakdown, to Jai Passe Devant A Porte, to Flight of the Bumblebee, to ballads, Irish reels, waltzes and beautiful background melodies: Bluegrass, Cajun, Irish, Gypsy Jazz/Swing, Gospel/Christian works, Classical, and MANY more. I play 3-finger style (as opposed to claw-hammer or frailing-style).


Began playing banjo in 1971 and have played for, recorded with, and traveled with, many bands/groups, including some of the greatest names in acoustic music. Have also done numerous television spots, as well as choral and touring theatrical productions.

I have 2 CD releases this year--one that features original contemporary banjo works that encompass elements of Fiddle Music, Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass, and Irish. I also have an accompaniest (acoustic guitar player) available, if you prefer a bit fuller sound. I've been playing since 1971, have worked with, traveled with and recorded with numerous touring/well-known bands, I'm willing to travel most anywhere (no outdoor inside-the-Arctic Circle or Himalayan Mtn. top gigs, please). I'm a cost-effective, quality alternative to a full band.
