DESCRIPTION:
I play mainly familiar tunes from the 1920s--'When you're smiling', 'Margie'--plus banjo classics such as 'The World is waiting for the Sunrise', 'Waiting for the Robert E. Lee'.I am not a single-string solo virtuoso, nor a jazz player.
I play traditional melodies with strong, uplifting rhythm that provides your event with a bright, bouncy atmosphere, and makes your guests tap their feet from my first note. I also play piano, so I can provide honky tonk and other old styles, and alternate with banjo. Or play ballads for dinner, then wail on banjo. If you want something more elaborate, I can provide a banjo band--one or more banjos, piano, tuba.
