Steve was a consummate professional! He communicated with us a number of times prior to our wedding and accommodated our requests without hesitation. Steve arrived at our venue early in order to familiarize himself with the venue and to check in with both us and our wedding planner. He performed beautifully and was a wonderful highlight of our Scottish family's wedding celebration!

Mr. Shields was excellent to work with, corresponding early and often to ensure he had the right information for our event. He showed up early, played beautifully, and spoke masterfully when asked to give an impromptu presentation to our students about piping. I fully and wholeheartedly recommend him.

Through direct phone calls we had asked Mr. Sears to be at the reception when the Bride and Groom arrived which we instructed him would be at 7:30. Mr. Sears arrived way late so much so that it delayed the entire start of the wedding reception because we were waiting for him in order to start with the bag pipes as the Bride and Groom entered. The second significant problem was that Mr. Sears did not play the tune we requested. HE PLAYED THE WRONG TUNE !! He was supposed tp play a total of 4 tunes but after the previous screw ups I asked him to leave. I refuse to pay for this debacle and want my deposit back !!!!

Steve was so fantactic!!! He added so much to the over-all tone of the wedding and so many of the guests commented on how fun it was to have him play on the lawn, especially when the bride and groom left the church. Thank you Steve!!

Since this was our first experience with a piper, we really didn't know what to expect but Mr. Shields was wonderful! He played perfectly and had no problem changing the plans repeatedly. He helped us choose music that fit the occasion and could be played on the pipes. This was planned as a suprise for the Bride and Groom and came off without a hitch. He helped make the event amazingly memorable for my daughter and her new husband. I couldn't have chosen a better performer for this occasion and would recommend Stephen Shields to anyone having any event that called for a bagpiper. Thank you very much Steve and God Bless you.
