Michael Holian was born in New York and has played the Bagpipes for over 25 years. He has competed in bagpipe competitions and parades from Upstate New York to Savannah, Georgia to Key West Florida. He has served as Pipe Sergeant with Tara Pipes and Drums in New York as well as founded and instructed the Irish Bagpipe Band in Charlotte, NC, Ceol na Gael Pipes and Drums. Michael has played for countless weddings, social functions, fund raisers, and golf club communities, as well as funerals. Allow Michael to add that something special to your event as his bagpipes envoke a stirring in your heart, whatever the occasion, to bring out the very best memories you and your guests and friends will share together. Michael is also skilled in the Irish Uilleann Pipes, a softer indoor set of pipes that are magical and will always be remembered in any event that you plan!

Michael was professional, attentive to details, accommodating, genuine. He has a comfortableness to him along with professionalism that fostered an environment of strength and presence. He is witty! Some "performers" come to put on a show or present themselves in a way that can take away from the experience. Michael is confident in his craft and humble so he is able to provide his craft in a seamless way. We hope we can interact with him in the future. Thank you, Michael for honoring our family.

An excellent experience! Mike communicated well prior to the event, was very accommodating of our requests, performing on the uellian pipes as well as the bagpipes. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to utilize Mike again in the future! He added a great element to our daughters wedding.
