Al was extremely friendly and affable, and very willing to go with the flow of the event. As we asked for a few minor changes to the schedule, he and his co-musician went along with them without question. They entertained everyone fully, and got all into the spirit of things.
I would recommend Al fully to anyone interested in a bagpiper.
Wedding Ceremony•Reviewed on July 24, 2012•From Long Branch, NJ
Al's contribution to our daughter's wedding far exceeded our expectations. He was charming, professional and flexible. Al was easy to communicate with and always replied to our emails promptly. Plans kept changing and Al was cheerfully accommodating at every turn. A great many of us, on the bride's side and the groom's, are sentimental about bagpipes. We were all in tears as he played. The joy of playing the bagpipes that Al has is quite obvious, and he spread that joy throughout the church. People kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Al Baker had a large part in this. We would highly recommend Al for any occasion.
Funeral•Reviewed on July 8, 2012•From Cranford, NJ
Hiring a bagpiper for a funeral requires finding a sensitive and trustworthy musician. We hired Al Baker for my grandmother's funeral and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The communication was clear and sympathetic in the days leading up to the funeral. On the day of the service, Al arrived 30 minutes early and played tunes that were appropriate and emotional. He handled the job with the utmost dignity and his music offered my family a proper tone for the burial. We will be forever grateful for Al's talent and professionalism.

I contacted Al just days before the graveyard service for my Mother, and he was exceptionally professional and accommodating. He responded to my request, was reasonably/fairly priced, and communicated properly. The day of the event, he was professional and timely, worked with the funeral director and the minister to create a tear-jerking graveyard service.
I would strongly recommend that anyone in the Trenton,NJ area wanting a pleasant musician to work their event...hire Al.
And there is something memorable about the sound of bagpipes...they are haunting in a way...my Mom was Scottish so it was a fitting send-off for her.
Thanks, Al!

Al Baker was an absolute pleasure to work with from the beginning. He would follow up with me promptly on any questions that I had. Al invited me to listen to him play prior to the wedding. He also sent me his play list from my wedding afterwards, with out me even having to request it! I would with out a doubt reccommend Al to anyone!
