DESCRIPTION:
I play the bagpipe commonly known as the Great Highland Bagpipe or the Irish Warpipe. I generally perform alone but can perform with one or more other pipers and drummers. The most common demands for pipers are weddings, funerals, and parties for which I have an ample repertoire. I play a lot of the ceol mor, i.e., the great salutes, laments, etc. often called the "classical music of the pipes". I also play a lot of Irish and Scotch stepdance tunes most commonly associated with the auld Scotch culture of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I have been an happy member of the American Federation of Musicians for over 11 years.
