Hello, and thanks for taking the time to check out my page! I am a professional musician with twenty years of experience living in the DC area. My primary instrument is the Great Highland Bagpipes, which I have played since the age of eleven. I perform professionally on that instrument, as well as the Scottish Borderpipes, the Irish Bouzouki (mandocello), and the Irish tin whistle. I am frequently called upon to perform for weddings, funerals, birthdays, golf tournaments and corporate events, as well as session work in the recording studio, and hymnal music for church events.

Having grown up in a musical family as a second generation bagpiper, I have been fortunate enough to have played at the highest level both as a soloist and in bagpipe bands in Kansas City, Chicago, and Maryland, having successfully competed and performed across the US, Canada, and Scotland.

During the summer of 2007 I had the unique opportunity to live in Edinburgh, Scotland where I worked as a musician and studied traditional bagpipe music and Scottish folk music. In 2009, I was awarded a scholarship to study Scottish music at a retreat in the Molise region of central Italy where I received instruction from some of the top instructors from the National Piping Centre in Glasgow, Scotland. The experience also included immersion in the traditional bagpipe music of Italy...much like making handmade pasta, something I am still working to master ;)

Recent performances include a concert with Emmy Award-winning producer and folk singer Connie Dover, a 50th anniversary concert with Ireland's Grammy award-winners The Chieftains at the world's premier concert hall, The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, as well as countless happy newlyweds, golf pros, and churchgoers.

I have a very large repertoire of music including traditional Scottish and Irish pieces, as well as American patriotic and religious music. I am always happy to learn new pieces of music or adapt popular songs or hymnal music for the bagpipes whenever possible. If you have a particular request in mind please inquire. I am also happy to offer suggestions for appropriate music for nearly any occasion. Additional musicians available upon request.
