DESCRIPTION:
Danny started his piping career in the early 90's taking lessons from a local professional piper who has won just about every medal there is to win. Danny has competed himself taking 2 1st places and 2 2nd places but his desire is not to compete but is more of an entertainer. Danny performs many gigs as a soloist throughout the year which include weddings primarily but also may include funerals, bars and other private events.Danny has also performed at several high profile gigs. These include playing for former President Clinton during the Columbine memorial ground breaking ceremony. He has also played for the Broncos – Steelers halftime show, on ice for a Colorado Avalanche game, the Nuggets as well as the Rapids. Danny has also performed on local radio for a previous St Patrick's Day promotion. As far as weddings, Danny does more then just play, he actively involves himself in the planning process and will offer suggestions where appropriate based on his experiences. As Danny is Irish, so is much of his repertoire but also knows the Scottish favorites as well. Danny has played for just about every type of wedding and has a wealth of knowledge to offer. When not performing solo, Danny plays with the Mile Highlanders Pipe Band and also plays regularly with a local punk rock band. When booking Danny for your next special event, your 5% booking fee will be paid by performer. From Danny: Although my travel radius is a Max 500 miles, I will travel further if needed. I rarely travel out of state as it is not cost effective for my clients who wanna hire me. Financially you may be better off going with a more local bagpiper. For example, if you are in California and I am in Colorado, look locally for a reputable piper first before hiring me as it might save you thousands of dollars. You will most likely find one. Lastly, I can provide accompanying Irish Dancer(s) or even a band consisiting of 4 pipers and 4 drummers. This would be available on request and at a custom rate. Please ask me for details. I am currently working on riding a uni-cycle and playing the pipes should the need ever arise where I am asked to provide such a skill.
