Although formed as an Instrumental 60's Surf band, the SoundWaves have evolved into one of the premier 50's/60's Oldies Bands in the Southern California.
The original SoundWaves were all members of various bands in their high school days in the early to mid-sixties.
In March of 2005, the SoundWaves won the annual "Taste of the Bands" at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro placing first out of twelve bands competing and earning top spot at the Taste in San Pedro festival in August of that year. The members of Sound Waves have played professionally in one form or another since their high school days as well.
The SoundWaves offer a wide range of 50's 60's and Country vocals to their extensive repertoire. They're favorite gigs are, clubs, car shows, high school reunions, surf venues and charity events. Realy enjoyed the music the guys and their personalities. They are accomodating to our needs to break when it was necessary, keep the sound level where we requested and they were terrific all around. The song choices were fun, our clients got up to dance even though it was 930AM...and no real dance floor was set up. Their surfer shirts were perfect with our 50's theme. We would highly recommend them to any group that wants to add an element of fun to their event.
