As a solo pianists, with duos, trios, dance combos, her recording groups BeebleBrox and the Monika Herzig Acoustic Project, Monika has performed for countless occassions over the years from weddings, wedding ceremonies, to private parties, festivals, concerts, corporate events - anything that can benefit from high quality music. Accommodating special requests for group sizes/ instruments/vocalists and music is no problem, just ask. Groups under her leadership have opened for acts such as Sting, Santana, Tower of Power, and Yes, have performed at the Indy Jazz Fest, Jazz in July in Bloomington and Cincinnati, Northwestern University, Georgetown College, Donne in Musica - Rome, Italy and countless clubs in Germany. Monika Herzig has been performing as a professional jazz pianist for nearly 20 years and has completed a Doctorate in Music Education and Jazz Studies at Bloomington’s Indiana University in 1997. She also holds a degree in Church Organ from Hochschule Weingarten in Germany. Currently she teaches Music Theory, Music Business, Piano, and Jazz Piano at Indiana University/ Bloomington and Indiana University/ Purdue University Indianapolis. In addition, she Saturdays with her trio at Rick's Cafe Boatyard in Indianapolis.

We hired Monika Herzig to perform at our Wedding Reception on December 17, 2005 at the Indiana Memorial Union on the IU Campus. We also wanted a male vocalist and she recommended Everett Greene. Monika was very great to work with leading up to the wedding - she always responded to my needs and questions quickly. Our reception went perfectly - Monika was great and Everett was awesome! Our only disapointment was that we hadn't hired a videographer so the wonderful entertainment of the evening was not documented. If you are a bride/groom who would like to stray away from a DJ at your reception - I would highly recommend Monika. She and Everett provided the formality that we were looking for. They made our wedding very memorable and unique!
