Description
Trained on the bagpipes at 9 years old in Scotland by an international gold medal bagpiper, Scott grew up playing the bagpipes along the banks of the South Esk River, where his kilted grandfather fished for over 40 years as the estate's salmon guide. Scott's father is a proud Irishman, and Scott performs both Irish and Scottish events. Your guests will really enjoy talking to a bagpiper that was trained in the Old Country!
Scott Beach is a full-time, professional Celtic musician and entertainer - a Scots -Irish bagpiper performing for over 250 events a year throughout Colorado, the US and in Scotland and Ireland, and is as much an entertainer as a skilled piper. Scott also offers performances on the bellows blown bagpipes, as well as singing pub songs performed on the guitar for cocktail hour and party events to follow the pipes.
Scott has had the honor of performing solo for Royalty in Scotland (for the Dowager Countess Strathmore) as well as for members of the British Parliament. Scott has worked for years as an official Guinness Ambassador performing on the bagpipes as well as being the Guinness MC for Legacy Events throughout Colorado and Las Vegas in 2007 and 2008. Scott has performed "America the Beautiful" as a solo bagpiper on home plate of Coors Field prior to the start of the game. Scott has been featured and interviewed on Colorado and Company on Channel 9 as well as on the Peter Boyle radio show. Scott has performed solo most recently for Governor Bill Ritter, for US Senator Wayne Allard, for Claude Taittinger (of famed Taittinger Champagne), for the Colorado Avalanche, at a wedding with Joe Cocker and Malachy McCourt. With appearances on over 7 CDs. Scott has performed at every annual Celtic festival in Colorado, as a solo bagpiper on stage, or along with his 4 piece band 'Canned Haggis' (pipes, fiddle, guitar and drums - Irish and Scottish instrumental songs and tunes - .
Wedding Ceremonies
Gracing your wedding with the bagpipes adds a truly unique experience for your guests and family. Whether your ceremony takes place inside a chapel, church or historic building, or outside in the mountains, by a lake or rushing river, the Great Highland Bagpipes adds a timeless beauty to a wedding ceremony and/or the entrance to your reception. Scott performs for over 60 weddings each year and has a vast amount of experience in helping brides/ grooms arrange their wedding program. Scott also offers ensemble music from his Celtic band Colorado Celts - performing Pacabel's Canon, Ode to Joy, and the Wedding March and Bridal Chorus with bellows blown quiet bagpipes, fiddle, and guitar as well as the Great Pipes.
Birthday Parties
Add the bagpipes for a special birthday surprise, as the piper starts in the distance, walking towards and ending at the birthday person. Scott will march in as a surprise, performing for the honored person a selection of favorite songs (from Irish Eyes are Smiling to Auld Lang Syne, and Amazing Grace) before playing 'Happy Birthday' on the bagpipes at the very end of the party - everyone joins in in singing Happy Birthday with the pipes! Also, a slide trip of Scotland or Ireland is another fun way to celebrate a birthday.
Memorials and Services
Invite Scott to help to memorialize the life of your loved one with 'Amazing Grace' or 'Danny Boy'. Scott performs for over 50 funeral services each year from Military Services, non-military and any denomination.
Scott Beach recently performed at Arlington Cemetery as a solo piper for a Chief Petty Officer, the family flew Scott to Washington DC to perform at the conclusion of the full military honors ceremony.

Performing for many Charity and Corporate Events each year, and Fund Raisers (Children's Cancer Awareness Society, Water for People, Aids Fund Raiser, etc. etc.). Invite a skilled piper to celebrate your event and a party is soon to follow.
