Resplendent in her going-to-church millinery, Angela "Missy" Billups will remind you of a hand-clapping, foot-stomping,organ-and-tambourine powered "go to church meeting" service--what singing sounds like when saints get together to have "chr'ch." "Missy B.", as she is affectionately known, leaves the audience with a feeling of being comforted, lifted and just blessed. She brings a vibrant, non-stop medley of old-time songs--along with her backup vocalists and organist Ernest Billups who swings rockabilly riffs reminiscent of Bill Haley's early work.

Missy began singing at the age of eight years old. By thirteen, Missy and her two gifted sisters, Tina and Dawn formed a group known as the 'Butler Sisters'. At the age of fifteen, she began leading songs for various groups and even senior choirs.

In 1995, because of her unusual skills and ability, she was appointed Director of the Radio Jr. Choir. Her gifts have certainly made room for her in the Field of Gospel Music. Missy is indeed a strong, Spiritual woman of God, on fire for the Lord. Blessed to be an instrument of 'Praise', on business for the king, and definitely submitted to his will for his glory.

Missy released her debut solo project 'DETERMINED' in April of 2000. This CD received phenomenal reviews, and is still a local favorite. 'CHURCHIN' with family and friends, is her sophomore project. Confident that after hearing the title track, 'CHURCHIN', your soul will be blessed. As you listen to the remainder of the CD, this project Co-produced by Bishop Sam Williams for NGE Productions, is guaranteed to take you even higher.

'CHURCHIN' is presently being played on several stations around the country, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington D.C., Oklahoma, Chicago, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Wisconsin, etc. The list increases daily.
