The Royal Wedding invitations have been sent. I'm sure mine is just delayed because of the President's Day holiday, so I'll just look at the copies online for now.

I have to say, I'm a little surprised. It's not that they're plain, personally, I like a plain, elegant invitation, but it's surprising to me that there's a dress code and the RSVP info right on the invitation.

Did you know that in formal invitations you don't include a response card? Guests are expected to write a note of acceptance or declining. While that might work for the Prince of Wales, it seems like an invitation for disaster for normal people. Most brides cite trying to wrangle people's RSVPs as one of their biggest wedding planning headaches.

What do you think of the invitation?
