One of the best places to start in planning a wedding is to think about the event holistically, as one unified event. So, instead of just thinking of what type of music, what type of food, or what type of dress you want, think about what you want the whole wedding to feel like. For a fun exercise in this we asked our friends at SmartBride Boutique to share some wedding dresses with us, and we'd provide a suggested first dance song to go along with them. The girls chose "dreamy romantic" as their theme.

For SmartBrideBoutique.com, romantic wedding dresses are characterized by any combination of soft texture, flowing skirts, use of lace and of course, floral accents!

These 2 wedding dresses have the flowing, whimsical skirt typically associated with romantic styles.

Left: Size 10 New With Tags David's Bridal VW9900 Wedding Dress for $350

Right:Size 10 Boutique Sample Christos Lydia Wedding Dressfor $1950

Song Suggestion: The sweet flowers on the dress on the left, and the polkadots on the dress on the right give them both a slightly country, down home feel that matches perfectly to the Elvis' standard, Can't Help Falling in Love

Maggie Sottero Rhianna Royale Wedding Dress

Rosa Clara Osiris Wedding Dress

These next 2 wedding dresses use floral detail in very different ways, but both are equally romantic!

Left: Size 8 Maggie Sottero Rhianna Royale Wedding Dress for $550

Right: Size 10 Boutique Sample Rosa Clara Osiris Wedding Dress for $1990

Song Suggestion: These two dresses have a fuller, sophisticated look. They scream out for a bride to be whirled around the dance floor, not just rocked in place. We suggest Frank Sinatra's It Had to Be You.

Jasmine Bridal T239 Wedding Dress

Lea Ann Belter Alyssa Wedding Dress

If you’re looking for a more classically romantic look, then look to lace. These two wedding dresses use gorgeous lace for a dreamy wedding look!

Left: Size 10 Boutique Sample Jasmine Bridal T239 Wedding Dress for $600

Right: Size 6 once worn Lea Ann Belter Alyssa Wedding Dress for $2500

Song Suggestion: Although classic, these dresses both have unexpected touches, like the ruffle at the top of the neckline on the dress at the left, and the flare at the bottom of the dress on the right. That's why we suggest a similar classic, but not common song, Sam Cooke's That's Where It's At.

All of the above dresses are currently available on SmartBride for the prices mentioned, but stock changes daily!
